Description: The Eiger has always played a special role in the history of alpinism. The fame of its north face has both intimidated and attracted generations of climbers. Barbara Zangerl and Jacopo Larcher, the dream couple of climbing, in recent years have achieved many of the most difficult routes through the great walls of the planet. Most of them, like “Zodiak”, “Magic Mushroom” and the most famous “big wall”, the Nose, are located in sunny California, in the south face of the famous El Capitan. In 2018, the two managed in four days the first repetition of the “Odyssey”, the most difficult route of the Eiger North Face. During such ascents, the two live in the wall, so to speak, dragging countless liters of water, food and equipment. However, if it were possible to climb the 33 pitches of the “Odyssey” with difficulties up to the tenth degree of difficulty through the 1400-meter-high north face in a single day, they could do without the ballast… – an idea that not only the two had. The film also tries to look behind the scenes of the glamorous success stories and show how hard it can sometimes be at the top of climbing.
